GAB ROBINS LAUNCHES ROBUST E-LEARNING PLATFORM TO ENHANCE SKILLS AND SERVICE CAPABILITIES

London 15th February 2010 – GAB Robins, a leading provider of UK and International claims management and loss adjusting services, has launched a new e-learning platform to provide its technical claims and adjuster staff with more flexible access to industry and client specific training courses.

The platform, called EYE Know.biz, provides online access to a wide range of industry standard training including recognised Chartered Insurance Institute and Financial Services Skills Council competencies, as well as client-focussed training courses to help strengthen service delivery.

EYE Know.biz allows staff to complete their assigned courses at a convenient time for them and enables them to self manage a development plan tailored to their individual needs and thereby take greater control of their own professional development.

An important aspect of the platform is the ability to tailor training programmes to meet the specific needs and requirements of GAB Robins’ clients. This could be through the inclusion of training modules around elements of policy cover and exclusions through to client induction courses for staff handling claims.

Mike Odell, Head of Training and Competence, said: “The EYE Know.biz platform has been designed to expand the opportunities for staff, many of whom work remotely, to engage in training activities. It provides a significant enhancement to our current Learning and Development activities and will deliver the level of governance and rigour required in today’s market place.”

EYE Know.biz has been developed in partnership with Marlborough Training and Consultancy and runs on the internationally recognised Moodle based learning management system. It provides detailed real-time management information to enable the company to evaluate the effectiveness of the training being taken and deliver GAB Robins’ clients with evidence to benchmark technical capabilities and compliance.
